I have decided, after months of religiously reading my husband's blog (and many other people's blogs as well.) to start my own. I sometimes have wanted to be a part of this blogging world, but for reasons unknown to anyone (even myself) have refused to do so. So after some consideration and bias checking I decided to join the community.
Ok, with that disclaimer aside...here is my first posting.
The question is asked...What makes you Jones??
I Jones for:
rainbow chip cupcakes with rainbow chip frosting
The desire to be more organized
A book that will intrigue me so much that I will finish the whole thing
Starbucks everyday
real authentic dreads
And possibly a glass of scotch...I love scotch. Scotchy scotch scotch...Down into my belly?

I knew it. And I feel overjoyed that I am the first to comment. I'll tell you what makes me Jones: Jones. He gets me Jonesin for a Jones of my own. Seth even said the other day "Dang... it's like he's your kid or something" in direct response to the huge amount of pictures that I have of him. I think I have one a day for every day he has existed... and in no way is that depressing.
jessy, congrats and welcome to this whole new world. i too am new to this and give you a big warm welcome. WELCOME. as for the big question. i jones for carmel corn, pointy shoes, things with stripes and jews.
um... jews? Whhhaaa? Are you Jewish now T?
Thanks T for reminding me that I too Jones for pointy shoes. I remembered a couple more, anything that is chocolate brown, red, and various shades of green.
Arwen, I will let you live vicariously through my meatball if you want. And to answer your question, not only are Jesus and Eric jews, but so is the meatball! Of course T Jones' for JEWS!
I remembered after I posted that that Eric was Jewish, but I didn't want to delete. Sometimes I also forget that Jones is T's nephew...sorry.
I don't know about the dreads thing. It's just so completely against any other morals I have on cleanliness. Greasing and matting your hair all the days of your life to attain something more narly than a braid is beyond what I'm comfortable with. Don't worry, though. I would totally still be your sister even if you had them. I don't judge!
And might I add, Welcome Aboard. the last week has been a joy for me.
no arwen, i am not yet a jew, but my husband is, and jones is and so i think that is enough jewy people to be able to say that i love jews.
You're so cute, Marm...
You women are aware, are you not, that to have a "Jones" is to have a penile erection? A bone? A Woody? A trunk in one's junk?
Have you noticed how quiet all the men are? Meanwhile you ladies talk of Capacinnos and pointy shoes and dreadlocks. Yikes!
We're squirming, girls! You're really creeping us out!
Jones is a FINE NAME. Some of my favorite friends are named Jones. But it is a name that has been besmirched with misuse. It's sorta like "Jesus Christ;" another fine name that if used improperly, becomes a curse and not a blessing.
I know, I know! I too feel the akwardness here. But there's an elephant in the room, and I'm just pointing it out! (A large wooden elephant ...)
You put up one stinking blog post and you get 10 - nay, 11! - comments? You, dear lady, may have the potential to out-blog your husband.
OH MY GOSH KEVIN! THAT IS NOT WHAT JUNK IN YOUR TRUNK MEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And by the way, Arwen, re-read the comment. I didn't say "junk in your trunk."
i used to jones for dreads. now i jones for another tattoo . . . and a day off to go see cirque du soleil (oh wait, i get that next week) . . .
i don't much like scotch, but i do have coffee every day and LOVE LOVE LOVE to read! (try "till we have faces" by cs lewis--it's the BEST! or as you and arwen say . . . the breast.)
